Yields: 5 cups. Sweet with a slight tang, this lemonade is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days! 1 cup (240mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-7 medium lemons) 4 cups (960mL) cold water. 1 tbsp (12g) powdered stevia. Add all of the ingredients to a pitcher or large bowl, and stir until the stevia has completely dissolved. Slice the lemon in half horizontally. Using a hand juicer, reamer or hinged squeezer, squeeze the lemon juice out of the lemon. If you don’t have a juicer tool, you can squeeze out lemon juice using tongs or scraping the lemon juice and pulp out with a fork. Make sure you use a strainer to strain out the excess pulp. Mix the citrus flavors: Use 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup of other citrus juice, such as Meyer lemon, orange, lime, or grapefruit juice.Or, try "pioneer lemonade" with 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or white vinegar.
Directions. In a large saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Stir in lemon zest strips. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool slightly. Stir in lemon juice; cover and refrigerate until chilled. Discard lemon peel.
Instructions. Put your lemon juice, sugar, and whey into a gallon glass jar, and fill the rest of the way with water leaving a few inches at the top. Put your lid on the jar, shake it up carefully, and leave it in a warm spot in your house for 3 days. If it is extra warm/humid you may only need about 2 days.
