If you can afford it, might as well go with the V2, especially when you plan to play a lot more on the go. I have a couple of friends who I nudged towards buying a Switch when V2 came out, and the battery performance holds up. V1 can only net you 2.5 - 3 hours playing most games.
When comparing the original Nintendo Switch vs. the V2 vs. the OLED model, the OLED is the clear winner of the three. It has the biggest screen, the highest-quality display, the highest internal memory capacity (64 GB as opposed to 32 GB), an Ethernet port on the dock, and the most durable kickstand.
